Going for a reread after a year so I might miss out on some good points.
Well, Mute!Corvo was not something I thought I'd like as much as I did. While the 2nd game had to go ruin that image of him I'd created from this work, I still consider this cannon, and Todd can't convince me otherwise.
Jessamine was so nice in this! Corvo's treatment by the other guards and all the mistrust he faced while still remaining loyal to Jessamine made me fall absolutely in love with him. I just wish the author comes back to this someday, or else I'll have to take up writing and I don't think the world is quite ready for that yet...
