He leaned back against the sundial, his heavy lidded eyes never leaving the sight of the ruins of Mondstadt in the distance. How did this happen and why did his feet lead him here? He’s too tired to try and remember but he did have a small recollection of a certain bard urging him to come here despite his hesitance. He clutched the deep injury on his stomach as he let out a shuddering breath.
He closed his eyes momentarily and when he opened them again, he didn’t expect for a woman whose body is transparent to be kneeling down in front of him. He didn’t have the energy to ask, he only blinked his eyes slowly.
“Hello… star-pupiled child. My old friend must have told you to come to me as a last resort.” the woman said as she smiled so gently. “Do not worry. I’ll grant your deepest wish and I hope this would be enough to change the outcome of this… dreadful war.”
He felt her hands cradling his face in a motherly manner and he closed his eyes. The last thing he remembered was a soft touch on his forehead and the cool and yet comfortable wind surrounding him in an embrace.

“Are you enjoying yourself, at least?” Wilder says. Being spat out by a wormhole into the middle of nowhere wasn’t Wilder’s idea of a great time, but Velite had, as a child, wanted to go space exploring.
“Enjoying myself?!” Velite exclaimed on the phone. “This is too much excitement for me! I think I’m going to be sick.” A pause. “No, I’m not actually sick-”
A muffled yelp. Wilder strained his ears.
“-don’t have a fever.” Argenti’s voice, now close up.
“You-! That was a figure of speech!”
“My sincerest apologies.” This Argenti fellow spoke so formally.Wilder watches his brother get lost in space and then bring home weird men.

“You lack his beauty,” Argenti says. He fully releases the hilt of his sword now that he knows Wilder is no threat.
Coughing loudly, Wilder bites his lip. Argenti thinks for a moment that Wilder is going to burst out laughing.
“You’re as direct as he’s said you are,” Wilder says, swallowing another choked cough.
“You are beautiful in a divergent manner,” Argenti adds, lest Velite’s brother assume some sort of insult. “One that is certainly attractive, albeit in a different way than my Velite.”
During an IPC-sanctioned holiday, Wilder meets his brother's boyfriend for the first time and tries to play a prank on him. It doesn't work out as well as Wilder expects.

“Of course it doesn’t make sense!” Velite snaps, his eyelashes almost brushing against Argenti’s cheek with every blink. "There's nothing 'beautiful' about dying!"
His voice goes high at the end, a tremble of disbelief mixed with panic that makes the shock in Argenti settle strangely—almost with satisfaction. He shivers, biting the inside of his cheek to hold back a nonsensical smile.
This sort of fierce devotion, of fear for his sake, it’s… “Beautiful.”
AKA: When Argenti fulfills his promise, and returns to take Velite home, there's a few things that aren't left unsaid.
