Also titled: Jason loves Danny but really, why is he dancing on the Red Hoods last nerve?
It comes out of left field, as so much about Danny does. Whether it's a normal conversation that suddenly turns into a story about that one time in ancient Greece when he built a functional lazer gun to see if he could and accidentally had an entire city's population believing he was Zeus or when he was banned from the kitchen for reanimating a chicken into a foul-mouthed gunslinger, Danny always manages to surprise him.
So when Jason hears that awkward laugh that means something has happened to remind Danny of something objectively awful, Jason knows he should be prepared for ... well, something objectively awful.
"This is freakin delicious, dude. Where'd you say you got it?"

“Which one?” Izuku asks softly, carefully. It’s how they do most things these days. “The one with the cats?”
“No,” Shōta shakes his head. “Not that one, the nightmare.”
“The other one with the cats?” Izuku can’t help but tease just a bit, hoping for that familiar exasperated look or, best of all, that slight smile that he sees so rarely these days.
“No,” Shōta squeezes his hand just a bit tighter. “The one about you.”
