After Feldspar returns from their prolonged stay in Dark Bramble, conflicting feelings arise; amidst the celebration, two souls find themselves at the campfire, and share a bottle.
Porphy approaches Slate and sits next to them on the log. “Let’s open this together. This one’s sure to be pretty good.”
“Huh…” Slate gives them a puzzled look before they eat the marshmallow they were just roasting. “Don’t you usually go to Gossan for this stuff?”
Porphy’s smile falls slightly, and they offer a light shrug. “Well, yes,” they begin, “but since Feldspar came back yesterday, it’s been… you know.”

“Stars. It’s really you,” Gossan utters - they can only awkwardly hold them by the shoulders, as much as they want to squeeze them into their arms. Their gear makes anything else difficult.
“Yep,” Feldspar simply answers, shrugging lightly. A chuckle leaves their mouth. “A couple years older, I guess?”
“A couple?” Gossan echoes, their brow furrowing. “Get back on this ship before I drag you in there myself.”

“Porphy. I—” They glare. They aren’t sure what’s different about today that makes it so difficult to keep arguing. “Will we be back before the next sunrise?”
“If that’s what you two need, we will. I’ll keep ‘n eye out for you. Promise.”
They’re not winning this one, are they?
“Right. Alright. Cool.”
Porphy gives their shoulder a resounding pat and straightens. “Eat up, sweets. We’re going to tap some trees.”
