Shit.
Alex froze for half a second before forcing a chuckle. “What?”
Henry’s jaw tightened, his gaze sharp now, assessing. “You look like hell,” he said bluntly, voice dropping into something firm. “When was the last time you slept?"
Alex rolled his eyes, trying for an easy smirk. “Jesus, Henry, thanks for the compliment.”
Henry didn’t even blink. “Alexander.”
The use of his full name sent a shiver down Alex’s spine, and he suddenly felt very, very seen. He fought the instinct to look away, to deflect, to play it off, but Henry wasn’t letting up
“Answer me.”
Alex swallowed hard. “I’ve been sleeping,” he said, lifting a shoulder. “Just, you know, finals season. Busy."
Henry’s gaze darkened. “That wasn’t an answer. Try again."
Alex felt his throat tighten. He could talk his way out of a press scandal, he could debate foreign policy in front of a crowd, but this—this level of scrutiny, from Henry of all people—made him feel exposed in a way he wasn’t prepared for.
“I dunno, A couple hours here and there. Not a big deal.”(Henry has to go to England for 3 full weeks, right in the middle of finals season and election campaigning: Alex doesn't take it well)

“Hey y’all, it’s me again with another baby carrier review. I went with the most breathable mesh option for baby Raf here. So now that I’ve got it clicked into place around my waist” (Henry was immensely grateful for the zoomed-in camera shot), “I just pick up this sweet little guy, how ya doin’, mijo, place him on my chest while I rock him a little—reach up for the straps, buckle them into place, pull them tight, and voila! Hands-free baby carrying!”
He gave a little twirl, complete with jazz hands and a giggling baby in tow, and Henry was both furious and a little bit sweaty. The YouTuber even gave the baby’s head a kiss, goddamn him.
Henry found his fingers flying to the comments section before his brain cells could catch up, or before he could finish the video, desperate as he was.
"Any thoughts on securing the shoulder straps for those with a slightly wider frame?”
Henry wasn’t prepared for the immediate response that came through.
