Summary
A companion fanfic to the McFly July series "Us Against the End" by Mythical Bookworm. (Read the series, it's just great.) BTW, it's a zombie apocalypse series. Doc and Marty end up as two of the very few survivors in Hill Valley. Many leave the city to try and escape the virus, while many others succumb to it (bite transfer).

And I consider it my duty as an upstanding American to help them with their problem, and make a little dough while I’m at it.” Chester tapped the side of his nose. “All they need is the illusion, you see; the illusion of the weaker sex. A little innocence, a little sweetness, a little glamour. Most of ‘em—soldiers, ranchers, miners—ain’t seen nor touched a woman in months, years even. They’re satisfied with anything.”
Marty gaped at him. “You want me to play a girl to—to satisfy—”
“Just dancing, as I said.” The bartender raised a finger. “No kissing, cuddling, touching or petting. None of that here. Just dancin’. Elegantly, maybe even seductively, but nothin’ more. You’ve got no idea just how gently and daintily these scruffy miners can dance, son. It’s a sight to make you weep.”
--When Marty becomes stuck in 1885, he takes a job at the Palace Saloon to earn money for him and Doc. Unfortunately, he catches the eye of Buford Tannen, who takes a liking to 'Marlene'.

Linda didn’t think she could take much more of this. “Jesus. Jesus Christ.” She brought a hand up to her face, covering her eyes in some sort of half-assed attempt to make this headache go away. “And you just- weren’t going to tell us? Any of us?”
“Well, what did you want me to do?” Marty asked defensively. “Bring it up at dinner sometime, like, ‘hey, guys, the reason I’ve been so weird is because I’m a time traveler, and I’m actually from a different timeline, and also that Calvin guy Mom dated in high school for a day was me’?! You’d all think I was fucking crazy!” He started pacing again. “Hell, you probably do think I’m crazy!”
Linda sighed. “If anyone’s crazy, it’s me, for believing you.”(or: yet another "marty sort-of-accidentally lets it slip that. the plot of the movies happened. and that hes in a different timeline. bc hes not great at lying" fic. its been done a million times before but hey. 2 cakes and all that)

Summary
The 27th floor of Biff's Pleasure Paradise is a house of horrors, but it's one Marty has learned to navigate over the years. With Dave banished from Hill Valley and Linda having fled, Marty finds himself the sole protector of his mother—a responsibility he can no longer hold when he's shipped off to boarding school in Switzerland.
Weaving together life in "present day" 1985A and key moments from his childhood, we follow Marty as he hatches a plan to get back home.
