Summary
When Jīn Líng was asked to urgently go to the Cloud Recesses, he was certain it’d have something to do with Wèi Wúxiàn.
He did not expect to come face to face with a child who couldn’t be older than three and wore suspiciously large Yúnmèng Jiāng clothes, seated in Wèi Wúxiàn’s lap.
The child held a rattle drum which was a little too large for his small hands as he moved it around, blind to the world. The rattle itself was white and red, and a part of Jīn Líng couldn’t help wondering if he’d seen it somewhere before. The hand of the child which wasn’t busy with the rattle was firmly fisted into Wèi Wúxiàn’s robes, a detail that didn’t entirely match with the distracted nature in which he was playing.
“What the fuck is going on?”
