Summary

After courting failure with attempts to cling to his old life, he decides to make a full break and to reinvent himself. Now, she lives as a young woman, having joined a supportive found-family, working in a bar in Tokyo. The “Phoenix” tells the tales of her finding herself, slowly carving out a new existence as a waitress and a singer - and of forming a new, deep connection with Akane, one of the few remnants of Ranko’s past life. There’s drama, action and love - and some clever original song lyrics (go, read it now, it’s very good).
This is not that story - for now, this is a single recursive spin-off about Akane kicking ass and taking names. Ranko is very proud of her girlfriend.
Maybe, someday, there will be more feathers in this tail.

Summary
Akane Tendou has just the previous day been introduced to Ranma, an arranged fiancé with a curse to occasionally turn into a brash redheaded girl whom she does NOT want to marry, and she is trying in vain to cope with all the indignities of her station. Out of a clear orange-colored sky, she suddenly receives a call from her beloved Doctor Tofu in which he reveals that he's just found a redheaded woman laying outside his clinic with a very serious head injury.
This woman turns out to be none other than Ranma... herself? Stranded twenty years in her past and badly hurt, Akane takes it upon herself to help 'Ranko' recuperate from her injuries, ingratiate her with the Tendou family, and reconcile the MANY accumulated differences between her current fiancé and the woman he's adamant that he won't become.
But can Akane find a way to send Ranko back to her time? Are they doomed to repeat history? And why does Akane keep getting eerily accurate flashes of foresight around her future wife?

An incredible time travel story where Akane is trying to wrest control from the chaos that's now her life, and is, so far, doing a wonderful job of staying afloat, even if the risk of getting carried away by the mess is an ever-present danger.

After he kicked the head of my chui off I blacked out, and when I woke up things were... strange.
