  1. Summary

Imagine Genshin normal setting, but add vampires--well, not quite. Long story short, certain beings (mostly immortal ones) can drink blood. Some of these beings are also capable of turning mortals, so it extends their life span significantly and gives a few extra perks, and of course, they can now feed on blood.
This is primarily focused on Venti, and also on albeven, but other ships and character spotlights might come up.
All fics within the series take place in the same timeline unless stated otherwise--there will be exceptions.

    Summary

"Acting Grand Master," Lawrence says, "we have another noise complaint."

Kaeya leans against the doorway, watching as Lawrence places at report atop Jean's desk. Sighing, Jean tiredly rubs at her brow, before offering a curt nod.

"Thank you," she says. "I will deal with the complaint shortly."

Pushing off the doorway, Kaeya saunters past Lawrence, picking the report up, and casually flipping through it. Jean shoots him a stern look, but does not tell him to put it back down.

"It's from one of the sisters," Kaeya observes, and reads aloud. "Perpetrator scaled statue outside church while drunk and sang loudly for three hours."

Lawrence lets out a delicate cough.

As Weinlesefest draws near, Kaeya notices a new mystery in the city of wind and wine — Jean and Diluc have been oddly permissive with Venti since the Stormterror Incident. Mischievously determined to get to the bottom of this, Kaeya soon makes a discovery that threatens to upend everything he knows. In the process, he must reconcile what it means to be Khaenri'ahn, and to love a city that belongs to a god.

    Summary

“Patrol route: South Gate, routine inspection… encountered no threats…” she murmurs under her breath. The sentence ends oddly when she turns the page, and she re-reads it multiple times trying to understand what has happened. “No threats…. Wind stirred… wind stirred around me? Caressing my—oh my!”

She blinks and reads it again, not out loud.

    Her face begins to burn.

She glances at the next page.

Jean squeals as she slams the report facedown onto the desk with a loud thwack.

She stares wide-eyed at the offensive stack of papers, willing it to somehow explain itself.

What on—what on Teyvat—did she just read?

    Summary

Diluc had recently heard that the Pyro Archon in Natlan had fiercely battled against the Abyss alongside the Traveler, triumphing over a horrifying monster and ensuring the long-awaited peace in her nation after countless centuries.

In stark contrast, his own archon had clumsily fallen off the horse into a water trough mere minutes ago, now earnestly expressing a desire to play the flute for livestock.

He cant help but feels....Somehow disappointed.

    Summary

“Aren’t you cold?” Jean asks dumbfounded.

“Nope," Venti says cheerfully. “I’ve never been warmer, actually!” He laughs, bells on Sunday mornings. “I forgot how it feels to have this much power. Don’t tell Master Diluc, but this might be even better than wine.”

Jean peers past him at the blizzard engulfing the city, drowning out even the angered roars of the monsters outside. “…What’s with the snow?”

    “Yeah. About that…”

The Abyssal war at its most critical point, Barbatos is forced to gather more energy and therefore stops controlling the mild climate of Mondstadt. This leads to a multitude of events, including but not limited to: the first gathering of the Seven since the Cataclysm, a betting pool consisting of half of Liyue Harbour, Xiao's first and last time being an Archon and the invention of the saxophone.

    Summary

Diona’s heel thumps against one leg of the bench, and she glances to meet his gaze. “…Where’s all this coming from?”

Venti blinks, and laughs, head dropping forward. “I… I’m not even sure. I guess there’s just something about being in this church that makes me want to… confess.”

Her pink brows furrow. “Confess to what?”

He sighs, soft and slow. “…I don’t even know.”

She leans back on the bench, propping her palms on the edge behind her and letting her head fall back. She stares beyond the tall organ pipes, up at the ornate ceiling of the grandiose cathedral. “…Venti?”

    “Yeah?”

“Do you think this is how he wanted things to be?”

    His breath grows shallow. “…Who?”

    “Barbatos.”

“I… can’t say I know much about what he wanted.” He stares at his hands.

    ———————

One fateful night, Venti and Diona find themselves alone together in the Favonius Cathedral. An unlikely bond begins to form. Meanwhile, Rosaria spends the evening reconsidering her stance on the enigmatic bard’s claimed identity.
