Beautifully written. The characters are lifelike, very true to the original books. The plot is realistic, though not something Bujold ever wrote. No space operas here - all politics is local, and so are personal relationships. And the sheer hope that Democracy can actually work the way it's supposed to is - in 2025 - breathtaking. 💗
