“Okay, focus, Little Man.” Jinx commands. “What costume should I pick?”
“Umm,” Ekko throws a pair of bunny ears in her direction, “what about a bunny?”
She catches the ears and examines them for a moment, “Nah, Playboy bunny is boring.” she throws them back at him with a wink. “Nice suggestion, though.”
“You know that’s not what I meant.” he grunts. Again he let his guard down.
Big mistake.

(Inspired by the movie As Above so Below)
The image is blurry at first, a blue spot stands out until the zoom is finally adjusted. A young woman is waiting for confirmation from the person handling the camera.
“All set,” says the cameraman. “Can you start by introducing yourself?”
The woman smiles and nods at the camera. “Hi, my name is Jinx Lane. I’m twenty six years old and I’m a researcher at the Twin Cities Institute of History.”
“What exactly do you do for the institute?”
“Well, officially” Jinx says, making air quotes with her hands. “I’m in charge of an investigation about Zaun’s historical connections to Shurima. Which is a fancy name for content creation for history books.”
Jinx laughs at her inside joke. “In truth, the goal of the investigation is to find proof of the existence of hex-gems. The investigation was originally in charge of my late mentor, Viktor Ambroz. I took over after his passing.”

Summary
Wrapped in a comfy blanket, the two of them relish in the warmth of their embrace. They have plans for later in the evening, but right now the idea of ditching everything and staying snuggled up on the couch the rest of the day is alluring. Unfortunately, today is the only time they can go to the traditional Zaun’s fall festival, and attending has become somewhat of a tradition for them.

He silently walks between corridors, trying to find the place where she’s being kept. It shouldn't be that hard to navigate the Last Drop, if it weren’t for the changes made to it since the last time he was here. Too long. It took him far too long. They lost their entire family, and still it took him almost two years to find her. Ekko wonders if she’s scared, if she’s waiting for him… or if she lost all hope and gave up. If he failed her.

Summary
A series of oneshots of timebomb doing some sneaky shenanigans, going from enemies to…enemies with benefits? Frenemies with benefits? Lovers? They don’t know either, they just know they can’t stay away from each other. Interspersed with other oneshots of Jinx and Ekko’s interactions with other characters related to their complicated relationship.
Though they all take place in the same universe/timeline, each oneshot is self-contained, and doesn’t require you to have read previous parts for it to make sense. They connect, but can be read in any order. The overarching story is the development of timebomb’s relationship behind the scenes, starting in the season 1 timeskip.
