Sebastian takes the boy’s hand from his hair by the wrist. He can wrap the entire thing, dainty protruding bone and all, in the ring of his forefinger and thumb, and then some. Where his thumb presses to the flat underside, nestled over each important bloody vein, he can feel the boy’s pulse jackrabbit as he slides it beneath the boy’s body, guiding the thin fingers to press over the boy’s own stomach.
