“Come here,” Sherlock said and when he did, he put his arm across John’s shoulder, and pulled him close. John let him, and after a moment, rested his head against Sherlock’s chest. Sherlock felt the familiar ache, a longing for what might have been. If only he’d been braver, more sure of John’s feelings. He dropped his arms and stepped back. It was too late. Things were as they were meant to be.
But it was autumn in Sussex, and everything was changing.

Summary
It's 1895 in Colorado, USA and cowboy John ends up at the Holmes Ranch after a months long cattle drive.
There he finds a little bit more than he bargained for in the ranch owners' young son Sherlock.
John falls quickly for the beautiful, smart, and capable young man but - with an age difference between them of almost 20 years - is it something that he can truly allow himself to have?Take note: There is quite a big age gap in this story with John being 38 and Sherlock 19.

Summary
