Todoroki Touya has only really ever had himself to rely on. He's never made any friends, or at least, never kept them for long. He's the one who takes care of the house, of his siblings, of everything except what his father won't let him touch. And he locks himself up, in a tiny little box, where all the fragile parts himself can, hopefully, stay safe.
That smug ass bastard Hawks seems to think he's better off without walls for safe-keeping. What does he know? Touya has only ever been made of walls; a little lock box, self-made supports and wax wings to keep him aloft amongst it all.

He's wandering around in the dark again. Of course he is, it's the only time he can really get around without running into somebody who might recognize him. The thought is ridiculous of course, who the fuck could recognize his disfigured mess of a face? Regardless, just to be sure, he only ever goes out at night. Its the only time he feels safe anymore.
It's a very fragile safety though, a sense of security about as strong as sea glass. And it hasn't been shattered like this since he last spoke with his sister.
Fitting then, isn't it? First Fuyumi, and now Natsuo.

For all of Endeavor's heroics, he's always been the farthest thing from the word "Hero". The world may not know it, but the Todoroki family certainly does. The world sees him as the Number Two Hero. His family all see him as something different, but each one sees something equally disgusting and horrifying when they look at him.
Nobody but five people in the world know the truth about Endeavor.Truth is much like fire though; the longer it sits, the harder it is to contain.
The more it consumes and takes and destroys, the harder it is to control.
And much like fire, it will burn through everything it touches until the entire world takes note.

The guy does nothing aside from hold the jacket out farther, swinging it closer to Shouto’s bloody face.
Taking a closer look at the jacket from where it dangles in his hand is Shouto’s only option.
There are pins attached to the collar and pockets sporadically, glinting softly in the light. Patches too, hand stitched on, Shouto can tell by his cursory glance. A little gay pride ribbon is pinned to the front pocket with an honest to god safety pin.
The jacket looks well-loved—clearly worn frequently and decorated with intention. Speaks of a long term attachment that only someone dedicated to a specific item achieves.
