"I want all three of you completely naked," Penelope groaned as she made them approach her, and she moved to the divan and sat down slowly and steadily, giving them a show for their delight.
Without further ado, the three men finally got rid of their miserable trousers, leaving all three of them standing naked in a line in front of Penelope. The sight was magical: her husband looked bigger, stronger, and more imposing; Colin looked softer and large; and finally, Col looked tender and youthful. It was like a painting of the passing of the years on her husband.

And he waits for her to wriggle and push him off but instead she - she moans.
More of a breathy whimper, actually, and it is, frankly, pornographic. There is no mistaking it, and something hot and sparkly starts to fizz in him, laughter bubbling in his throat.
So he doesn’t get off her. He just lifts his head. “Pen, did you just-”
Her face is red, scrunched up, her eyes shut. “Shut up,” she breathes.
Delight flutters through him at her reaction, something fizzling and crackling under his skin. He cannot help the wicked smile that breaks across his face. “Oh my god, you like it? You like me squashing you?”

“Wait a moment,” Benedict says, through a mouthful of macaron. “What precisely happened to make her so unwilling to lie with you?”
“Well,” he says slowly, trying to find the words. “We were - preparing for the act. Penelope rather likes it when I - when I use my fingers upon her, you see. When I, uh, insert them.” He clears his throat again nervously, unable to meet his brothers’ eyes. He feels guilty, knowing Penelope would likely strangle him to hear him admitting such things to his brothers, but he is desperate, and he is doing this for her. “But when she came to her release, a great wave of liquid poured out of her - more than the usual amount - such a gushing as I have never seen from her before, and although I assured her she had not relieved herself, she was so ashamed and so afeared of it happening again that she will not let me near her!”
“And how did you know she was not relieving herself, Colin?” Anthony asks. Benedict’s shoulders are shaking now.
Colin sighs. “Some - some got in my mouth.”

Colin swallowed, looking at the amber liquid in his teacup. He had become accustomed to taking it without milk, as was fashionable in the drawing rooms of Venice. He felt as though he trembled upon a sort of brink, something shivering in his throat. He saw before him two choices and he paused, not knowing which to take.
He could cling to propriety. He could tell her Elio was very well; ask after her daughter Poppy; enquire about news of the Ton, and Whistledown, and everything could move along in its proper order until tea-time was over and he would have to leave with the little flower that had sprouted in his chest at her letters still dry and unwatered, stuck in the shade.
Or he could act. Step out of the shadows and into the light.
