Radford gently bumped their shoulders together again. “You’re not a bad person, Kevs,” he answered earnestly, picking up another scoop of his own water ice. “Bad people aren’t sorry when they make a mistake.”

Summary
Four years ago, a tragedy befell six kids, and their friend group was torn apart at the seams. One boy in particular shut himself away from the world, living in his own head where nothing ever happened while taking on the alias of Iko.
In the present day, sixteen year old Ross Duval is finally coerced out of his house, only having three days to make amends with his estranged friends before he moves away.
The only problem is, he can’t remember what split them all apart. Even worse, he hasn’t seen his brother since the day he decided to become a shut-in. Where did he go?

Mari stumbling backwards, wobbling at the top of the stairs as she tried to catch her balance, her eyes full of anger and betrayal. Reacting before his brain fully caught up with what was going on, Sunny reached out to help balance her, to stop her from falling down the stairs, grasping her wrist.

“Well, it isn’t much…” Kel says, his grin softening into a warm smile. “But, I did get some sandwiches and biscuits.”
He lays them on the picnic blanket as if he’s holding a garage sale, the packaging a bit dirty and the contents likely crumbled. But he tentatively pats the spot next to him with a hopeful gleam in his eyes.
“Soooo…?” he asks. “Do you want to have a picnic with Mari?”
