Summary
The village has always given young men to the trees. They're seeded at birth and when their plant blooms, it's time. Sebastian has lost two loved ones to the forest and refuses to lose anyone else. But when he goes back late at night with the intention of burning it all down, his own seed blooms unexpectedly and he's pulled deep into the forest where no one but the Gardeners dare tread. He's bound and seeded as the forest stuffs him full. Sebastian tries not to find pleasure in it, but he's overwhelmed.
