Summary
James Potter wasn't surprised to get the owl he was needed in the Headmistress' office after his son was caught in the middle of yet another prank. What he wasn't expecting was to be so caught off guard by the Professor who had caught Harry this time around. The last time he had seen Regulus Black was years ago, and now here he was immaculately dressed, scowl on his face and James couldn't stop staring.
Why hadn't he seen Regulus in years? Regulus has spent the last five years avoiding James Potter because he couldn't take suffering through his childhood crush a second later. Now all of that was for nothing, because James Potter was standing across from him, smirking at him from behind those glasses of his, calling Regulus 'Professor Black' and setting Regulus' skin on fire.

"I can only tell you," James whispers. He lifts a hand to touch Regulus' hair. Only one curl - it's hanging in front of his face, covering one of those insufferable eyes.
"James," Regulus croaks.
"I can only tell you, Reggie. Let me show you?"
Regulus opens his mouth to say something, but doesn't seem to be able to find his voice. He just stares at James intensely, trying to figure out what he means. When James thinks Regulus has given up on trying, he nods.

Summary
When you are thrashing inside an invisible prison, isn't it inevitable that you eventually get tired of fighting back? Isn't it easier to let the darkness consume you and, well... drown? Oxygen is overrated, anyway. OR a fic about four idiots making a series of stupid decisions and falling in love while the war is brewing; everyone is trying to find their place in the middle of it all and facing sacrifices they have to make to survive it.
