Summary
Jisung was an Ordinary. Plain and simple. He was worthless to the country, worthless to the king. He didn’t have any blood-bound magic. It didn’t matter that he could beat up half of the people without it, to everyone else he was different. Different in the way they wanted to kill him or send him off to be a slave to a Natural. He would rather die.
And when he is picked to be a slave, he escapes with the knowledge that he will die soon.
Until he is picked for a chance to win the prince's heart in a battle of death, etiquette, and smarts.
It's the happily ever-after he has been waiting for, but will he pay the price to get it?

Summary
"I guarantee you nothing will happen to you. I give you my word."
"How much does your word weigh, though?" Aristia scoffs. "You vowed during our wedding to love, cherish and protect me no matter what. So far, none of your vows were respected. You said it yourself. You were never a husband to me."
(...)
"How could I have trusted you? You are the daughter of my enemy." Chris frowns.
"I don't know. How can I trust you now, then? You are a man who hates me for simply being born as a princess of the enemy kingdom."
"... I assume you can't."
---
The Kingdom of the South and the Empire of the Sun forge an alliance at the expense of Princess Aristia - the daughter of a King who didn't want her, sent over like a sacrificial lamb to his enemy, a man who doesn't want her either, who won't even cast a look at her. She decides she won't look at him either. Two can play this game.

Summary
Awed whispers that arise in the room when they assume he is unaware, necks turning just to get a glimpse as he leaves, lingering stares. Nothing new. In his twenty-three years of life, it has happened often enough that he has grown used to it.
He’s used to people looking. But not touching.
Mainly the product of his mother’s behavior. She had always made sure that those in her child’s presence were aware of the importance of keeping their hands to themselves. The sole purpose of Hwang Hyunjin was to be looked at, not to be touched.
In which Hyunjin runs away from home in an attempt to escape its innately rotten opulence and unexpectedly finds solace in a boy who plucks him right off of it.
