After Lucy confessed that it did not mean anything that it was basic biology, after the situation with Chris on the borderline of death on Lucy’s couch he decides to take a leave of absence. He couldn't stand around and watch her be happy with Chris. His heart was shattered. Of course why would Lucy love an almost 40-year old divorcee. He needed some time he had lost Isabel, and he couldn’t stand a watch Lucy turn him down to be with Chris. He does not tell anyone where he is going, and he leaves for a year. When he decides he is ready to return to his life in LA and confess to Lucy how he feels. Tim has to rebuild his life and get back to where he was before he left. Will Lucy forgive him? Is Lucy's forgiveness the only obstacle he will face upon his return?
