Summary
Mermaids are not a solitary species. They need their pod, their valuables, their family.
Shouto has his cove. He doesn't need a pod, or a family. He watches over the fish, tends to the kelp, and keeps one eye on the dock, until one day, someone arrives.
Of course, this is terrible. A human? At the cove? Clearly disaster has struck and Shouto must protect his home with his very life. No one shall trespass on his oasis, certainly not a human.
What he doesn't expect is that the human is so... beautiful. And hopelessly adorable, with his freckled cheeks and a smile that shines through the water like a sunbeam. Before he knows it, Shouto is falling and drifting with the current, desperate heart ready to sing.
Izuku is just completely shocked. A mermaid??? Living by his new house boat?! He didn't know mermaids even existed in the wild. His fingers twitch and his heart soars. He wants to paint.
