Daniel struggled to follow the instruction; his knee begged agonisingly for relief and he begged it to just shut up. He risked a glance over his shoulder. The men were closing in, gun barrels dripping in the wet. The hand around his arm yanked painfully, tilting Daniel’s world around him.
His feet left the ground as he toppled forward. His stomach swooped unpleasantly as they kept going. Daniel’s wide brown eyes met the terrified blues of Johnny Lawrence as they tumbled over the edge of a cliff together. Shit.'
It’s autumn, 1986, and Daniel LaRusso has a problem.
Mr. Miyagi’s Little Trees is just not making enough money. Sure, things are going pretty great on the surface, but the bills are piling up, and Daniel has to do something to fix it. An opportunity arises, one that’s just too good to pass up. However, this kick starts a chain of events that lead to him running for his life, with none other than Johnny Lawrence. Daniel’s life may be in danger, but he’s not so sure that his heart will survive being in this close proximity to the blonde Cobra.

“Hanahaki disease,” he corrects, but it’s an afterthought. “I mean, yeah, the most likely culprit would be my girlfriend but I swear it isn’t her. And I barely spend time with anyone else outside of this place ‘sides my ma and my sensei. So, believe me, I’m all out of ideas.”
A strange sensation frissons up his spine and into his hair, making him shiver bodily. He looks around and finds Johnny leaning against a pillar at the far end of the hallway with his hands clasped in front of him, some book tucked up under his arm just the way Jimmy’s done. His eyes flick down the length of Daniel and then bore into his face steadily. Daniel swivels, panicked, to hiss, “Did you tell him?”
