Summary
Prince Xiao Jing has always been a mess, a splash of colors, a rattle of noise whether he went. That is improper for a noble lord, especially when his cousin is the Crown Prince of the Xianle kingdom and is betrothed to the Crown Prince of another, even bigger kingdom, Wuyong.
On top of it, Xiao Jing and his cousin Xie Lian looked exactly alike, like two water droplets. Perhaps that was the reason Xie Lian's fiance decided to be a little nicer to the oblivious prince? Does the Prince of Wuyong like prince Xiao Jing or the heavens, and the pheromones, are just playing with their emotions?

His meridians in this life were still damaged. There wasn’t anything he could do about that, at this point. But he was still careful not to aggravate it at all, and cause a Qi deviation. He found he hadn’t had one since he left the sect, which should have been surprising — but it truly wasn’t. How long did he spend, cooped up in a place he truly never loved? Living like a caged bird for loyalty? He suffered for his sins in his last life, and abandoned everything in this one, leaving behind even that cursed name.
He wouldn’t ever go back. Never.
He looked over to where the snake and man were curled up in bed, chest feeling strangely warm.
He didn’t deserve this. This man was far too nice to him, for his own good. They’d seperate soon, though. Surely Tianqing would abandon him soon, if he found out what Shen jiu really was—a monster. A slave with a horrid past, who lived this life more than once already — with no good qualities left but a cold personality.
He’d be alone soon. He was sure of it.
