Summary
Access to light, clean bedding, or a warm meal was considered a privilege within the structures of Hydra. A glimpse of these comforts could only be granted to a soldier who followed orders. Peter was not one of them. With his thin limbs, the malnourished twelve-year-old was on the brink of death from exhaustion and starvation. It seemed that his days were numbered, and he himself longed for death. At least, that’s what he believed—until a threat from the outside emerged, the one his superiors had warned him about: the Avengers.
Yet for some unclear reason, this group wanted to save him. Especially Tony Stark, the Merchant of Death, saw something in him that Peter himself could not see. For reasons unknown to Peter, Stark wanted to take care of him and show him that the world still had much to offer.

Summary
Peter is just a 14-year-old kid trying to take care of his little sister Morgan, and his elderly great aunt. And he's spiderman, trying to take down a ring of dirty cops while keeping the injuries to a minimum (No, it doesn't work). When May gets sick, life gets overwhelming, and Tony steps in to help.
Re-wrote some of the original chapters, and combined 3+4, so chapter 10 is also new, but replaced an existing chapter. The story is finished! Will post periodically as I edit the chapters.

gonna be honest, there will defo be infrequent updates as i shift between stories that i usually keep in my drafts as i can never find the courage to post, but i though, fuck it, might as well, maybe it will keep the creativity flowing?
