Artem didn’t want to open his eyes. If he did, it meant there was a possibility that everything that happened the night before would end up becoming another dream and he– he wasn’t sure he was ready to face reality if everything was just a product of his mind again.
He reached across the bed and felt the soft stirring of someone else there. His clear blue eyes snapped open and relief washed over him.
It wasn’t a beautiful dream. She was with him.

‘I have been distracted by you since I got here.’ She couldn’t say that to him. He would never let her live it down.
She sighed in resignation, failing to find any reason that would be acceptable. “Alright, but if it comes out ugly, because I’m a beginner, you don’t get to laugh, okay?” She pointed the blunt end of her pencil at him.
Marius chuckled. “I won’t. Or at least, I’ll try not to,” he added with a teasing tone.

“I- I ate,” she protested lightly. Her eyes looked away from him, but her stomach betrayed her. It made a soft growl, making her blush and Artem laughing softly at how cute his girlfriend was at that moment. “I mean, I ate lunch…” she amended.
“Mm-hmm,” he hummed. “Drink up. At least have some of that while we wait for dinner to arrive.”
Surprise was evident on her face. “Dinner?”

Everything was perfect. Luke made sure of it.
He spent the whole morning cooking and preparing their lunch and the things they needed to bring. He bought a huge beach umbrella, a picnic blanket, and a basket to which he would stow the food and drinks he prepared. He also checked the weather in the area on his phone. It said there was a small chance of rain and that it would be a perfect time to spend the day outdoors.
A perfect time to spend with his beloved.
