Summary

Twenty years ago, that happened to Steve.
One moment he and Bucky were sitting side by side under the star-filled sky; together and inseparable as they had always been. The next, their village was attacked; Raiders appearing on dragons and razing buildings to the ground – all the while taking any child that crossed their path as they tried to flee.
They took Bucky.
Bucky fought like a dragon possessed to get free. Steve fought like a dragon possessed to free him. But neither were strong enough, and Steve lost his best friend to the evil in the night.
Steve lost Bucky twenty years ago, and now trouble is stirring once again, threatening everything he holds dear. Things are happening that he is yet to see the end of, war draws ever closer to their borders - and the man with the metal arm that appeared is shrouded in mystery.

Summary
"Chuuya—"
"Don't fucking—*don't!* Fucking SPARE me! I don't need your or anyone else's help! You are the LAST person who has the right to offer me anything! FUCK!” Chuuya shrieks, then he collapses onto the floor screaming.
The floor shatters under him as For the Tainted Sorrow roars in his veins.
“Shit,” he curses, watching fragments of the floor start to float up around him. “Shit-shit-shit!"
His hands are shaking, but he can’t get gravity to respond. He can’t get his own body to respond.
Then a cool hand lands on his shoulder, and everything clatters back to the ground.*“I won’t leave you.”*
Or, Chuuya breaks, and Dazai spends a year putting his pieces back together, no matter how many times he cuts his fingers on their sharp edges.
At the end, they’re both softer for it.Epilogue starts at chapter 39!

Summary
Goro sat idly within the throne room beside his vile excuse of a father, overseeing the court below; merchants, nobles and messengers alike mingling together as they wait in line for the king's attention, and occasionally his. The day had stretched long, with occasional gifts falling to his feet, a bid for future respect in his time to come as king.
He pays none of them the attention they're surely desperate for; every man within the court halls are favoured by his father, nothing more than monsters. Goro's nose twitches with distaste at the thought, working his jaw to keep it off his expression.
The air within the courtyard burns with the scent of anticipation and sweat, only thinly clouded by rich perfumes. Always an irritant, yet it isn't quite right. Something sour burns from below the hall; the acrid scent of fear, coming from the connecting labyrinth of hallways. Echoing footsteps follow the scent shortly after, and by the jingling of chains, Goro knows whom it could be. Another prisoner brought for judgement by the king, all awaiting the same fate.
A headless introduction to the afterlife at the hands of the kingdom, and Goro allows himself an inward sigh at the blood soon for the floor.
