And so, their strange domestic life began. It was a snowy Monday morning when Riddle got the call he wouldn’t be able to attend class, and Floyd didn’t have work that day on his schedule. That meant they were in the house together for the first time, for the entire day, where they had nothing but chores to do. There was a fresh layer of powdery snow outside the building, so going outside wasn’t perfectly ideal, and there were still large flakes falling down in front of their window. Riddle sat up, watching the snowfall, though when he tried to get out of bed, two long arms wrapped around his waist and pulled him right back down.
“Floyd Leech!” Riddle gasped, trying to get out of his grasp, grunting and thrashing. “I have things I MUST do today! There’s chores, homework, I’ve got to brush my teeth-!”
Before he could list anything else, Floyd had quickly slammed his mouth onto the other’s, roughly forcing his tongue into Riddle’s mouth, running it over his teeth. When he pulled away, the smaller face was bright red and his mouth was agape in shock.
“Your teeth feel pretty clean to me.”

Sitting in the living room, Marja saw the headlights in the driveway, and she held her breath. She had been trying to do sewing to keep her busy, to not think about her grandson, but now that he was home she was back on edge. even when she heard the door to the truck open and slam, she panicked. They didn’t sound happy, and she could hear her son yelling at Epel all the way up to the door.
Epel threw the door open and stormed upstairs without a word, his father still yelling at him the whole way up, about how he could be so stupid. Marja got up and walked over to him, smacking his arm and telling him to shush up. “What could he have possibly done that warrants that gosh darn behaviour?!” She whisper-shouted.
“Well, mama, someone went and got himself knocked up!”
