Summary
Com a missão dada por Liu Kang, os Lin Kuei, Scorpion, Subzero e Smoke se direcionam a fortaleza de Shang Tsung, onde notam a nítida mudança de comportamento de Sub Zero, que deseja mudanças para o seu clã, mas seguido tudo o que seu clã abomina. Assim, com a batalha dos dois irmão mais velhos, Bi Han e Kuai Liang, Tomas que apenas observava, tem flashbacks de sua infância, no pequeno vilarejo onde morou com sua mãe e sua irmã gêmea Aurora e de suas mortes injustas. Além de recordar como era sua vida, com seus novos irmãos, após ser adotado pelo "Wei Cheng" o antigo Grão mestre dos Lin Kuei.

When Hargrove's fist collided with Steve's cheek, he lost his stance, fell back onto his ass, and ended up pulling the fridge door with him. Steve expected another punch, or a kick to the stomach. Everything was quiet—scary quiet. He blinked his eyes open, his head throbbing, as he looked up at Hargrove, who stood before him, his eyes wide and his chest undulating rapidly.
Then, Steve’s eyes trailed down to the Demodog, wrapped in the blanket that was now lying on the floor between his legs. Its mouth and body were all exposed. Steve’s breath hitched, and when he looked up, Hargrove was staring at him.
"Harrington," Hargrove said, his eyes darkening and his pupils blown wide in disbelief, "what the fuck is that?"

Summary
Billy doesn't die in Starcourt. Instead he wakes up a month later in hospital with his little sister holding his hand and a future he thought he'd lost in front of him.
Rated teen and up because it's mostly fine for everyone but there are a few chapters including smut as well as occasional violence between Neil and Billy.
