"In case you've forgotten," Nami says, quite annoyingly with her index finger pointed up, "Luffy still doesn't want his brand to fall into some ugly stereotypical labels of pirates. That includes not threatening random people on a whim, Zoro."
"I haven't forgotten that," Zoro says tersely, "I think it's you who should always keep in mind who the captain of the ship is. A competent navigator or not, try to learn putting Luffy on a higher pedestal of respect no matter how stupid he can be sometimes."
"What the Hell?" Nami sounds stricken—looks stricken—which is the more reason for Zoro to fight for his own mood to not melt into something sour, or, Mother Sea forbids, gets seized up by unbidden guilt. "I am, asshole!" Nami rebukes, "I know I always poke you around with all the first mate duty bullshits, but Luffy is my captain, too. What makes you—"
"So don't make your worry his," Zoro calmly tells her. A civil finality if he ever made one.
