It's the... what the fuck?
The toxin's never been like this before. It creates hallucinations and triggers the fear receptors in your brain but it doesn't shove you into your worst memories and makes you feel like you are actually in there. Like you're actually living through it again.
The pain, the fear... they were as sharp as when he actually suffered it.
That was... way more than what he signed up for.
He looks for Bruce, but the man isn't there. Tim is next to the Batcomputer, talking into a recording device.

Tim thinks Jason is immune to fear toxin, so the best (and only) plan they have to combat Scarecrow's new formula is to test it on him and get an antidote ASAP.
Jason might've been bluffing when he said that the poison didn't affect him - but he'll be damned if he lets Barman see him scared. Again.
So he accepts.
Unfortunately, the Lazarus Pit effects force his family to live through his most painful, terrifying memories with him.
And none of them know what to do.

Summary
Jason Todd was proud to say he was unshakeable, with grit like no other.
However, halfway through his patrol route he stumbles across a little boy with dark hair and blue eyes, looking for his parents outside the movie theatre.
Bruce Wayne.

Jason hated this. This had to be some sort of magical bullshit. Or a parallel universe breach. Or one of Scarecrow's more elaborate psychological torments.Jason knelt down, in lieu of getting to Bru- the kid’s level.
The resemblance was undeniable now. Jason could trace the future in those features - how puppy fat would give way to a stern jawline, how those bright eyes would develop shadows from countless sleepless nights, how that perfect smile would one day bear the slight asymmetry of a tooth damaged in combat with Bane. The future he couldn’t even imagine was writ upon the kid’s face.

Summary
If there are two things Jason knew for a fact that Batman hated, it's magic and John Constantine. Both were unpredictable and often dredged up chaos whenever they were present. So when Jason runs into Constantine while on his murder training world tour, he realized he could kill two birds with one stone.
Piss off Batman and learn magic to use against him?
He'd be an idiot not to take that opportunity.
