I wanted to pull heaven down and claw through it like dirt, like ashes, like dust. I wanted to dig and find you. I wanted to drag you out and shake you to life. I now instead, drench myself in memories of you like squeezing an orange with my teeth. Allow myself to become gluttonous in the pulp of your flavor. Some days I purposefully dehydrate myself so as to not spend too much of you. Previously titled as Cascade. This is an edited version of a story I wrote a year ago.
