Summary
Minho has so much money in his bank account that he pays Jisung much more than they had initially agreed on. So much more that Jisung gained a kind of financial security that allowed him to stop going out with other clients two months into their arrangement; enough that Jisung could pull through for a few months if Minho decided to let him go.
But Minho takes him by the hand and he doesn’t look like he wants to.
(Jisung is an Arts student in need of money, and Minho is a rich guy in need of a fake boyfriend.)

Seungmin lets out a prolonged exhale. “Look, Hyunjin. All cards on the table now. I’m gay. That means I like men—and I like men exclusively. How does that make you feel?”

--

He can almost picture the furrow in Hyunjin’s brow. “If you could go back in time and… and change us… like, our friendship… would you?”
Seungmin blinks several times in the dark. Suddenly, his chest feels a bit too tight. “What do you mean?”
“Like, the things we’ve done with each other or… or said to each other…” Hyunjin’s voice is barely audible. “What we’ve come to mean to each other… would you change any of it?”

“You know,” Hyunjin says, softer now, “you don’t have to be this way all the time. It’s okay if your sky changes. It’s okay if it storms.”
Seungmin exhales — long, slow — like a man releasing pressure he didn’t know he was holding.
“And what if I don’t know how?” he asks. A question spoken into the quiet, fragile as a cloud before rain.
Hyunjin smiles. Small. Tender. Yet somehow still a little smug — as if he’s known this moment was coming all along.
“Then I’ll bring the storm.”
Kim Seungmin, who perfected the art of emotional neutrality to a fault, finds himself in a fake relationship with the Nation’s Sweetheart and Emotional Storm incarnate Hwang Hyunjin, just because Twitter told so.
But maybe, this time, netizens are onto something.
