Before the nurse had even finished her sentence Wille replied with a definitive, “Yes.”
“No.” Simon responded, looking at Wille, his mouth slightly open.
“Yes.” Wille was clearly drawing his hard line here, looking back at Simon with all the intensity he usually bore. God, that fucking stare.
“No. No. No.” Simon was shaking his head with his eyes closed. He couldn’t even look at him.
The young woman froze up again, probably feeling that this was a situation that nursing school hadn’t prepared her for. She wasn’t about to negate the Crown Prince, but clearly knew her priority in this situation was supposed to be the patient.
“Simon,” Wille said low, all but pleading.
“Okay, fine."
"Fine."

Simon Eriksson loves his life. Maybe there are some things missing from it, but he is content in the little world he's created for himself. His needs are met, mostly, and he feels safe. He's consciously set his personal boundaries (to protect himself) but letting someone else in doesn't mean he has to cross his boundaries himself.
Simon doesn't date. Wilhelm hates dating. Dating is artificial. Why bother to hide their worst behavior, for someone else's sake, when they have no desire to change for their own?
