Great start, very well written.
The author has already shown many great ideas, and I'm sure they'll (further) implement them excellently.
Scenes are described well, and, considering how many times I've experienced the traditional Re:Zero start, the pacing was nice.

Under a quiet, cold weekend evening, cruising endlessly between sleepy buildings and illuminated streets, a young man absentmindedly sat alone in the carriage of such a vehicle.
Alone.
For the young man with raven hair and unsettling eyes, this was a ritual. One that he had regularly practised ever since the day he seemed to have jumped two years into the future in his perspective. The day he found himself unable to recollect the two years he missed.
He wore clothes he never remembered putting on, bore scars he never remembered acquiring, and had fears that seemed to have developed out of nowhere. It was supposed to just be a quick trip to the convenience store.
Even the bag of ramen and potato chips were nowhere to be seen...

Ch. 4
This was truly great—well written and absorbing.
The train setting works well and the whole mystery given to the reader is interesting, engaging, and fun. Good bits of humor, good understanding of the canon story, and a good hook. It almost feels like a post-react fic, and I really enjoyed the background that the author gave to Earth Subaru.
I hope this fic can get an ending, great work! -
