    “Are you sure?  Fishin’ sure makes me happy.”

    I had no intention of taking him up on the offer until he said that last word: happy.  I hate how often little things, even just mere words will take me back to her.  I finally reached a point of closure with her.  And now an opportunity to honor her memory is staring me directly in the face.  Perhaps this was my “chance to be happy” that Maria would have wanted for me.  Even then, the professor also strongly encouraged me to live for myself.  Maybe this could be something… enjoyable for myself.
