She can’t quite remember the accused Julian, but she knows that she loves him fiercely, and the thought of losing him pushes her closer and closer to the point where she’s scared that her mind will break. Even if the damn fool is convinced that dying will let him return with a cure for the plague that threatens to resurge in the city.
There’s a damned ghost, goat - something - that appears to be preoccupied with her existence. And her cards have decided to quite literally start talking to her.
