Excepting One For All was supposed to be a new start; turning over a new leaf. Joining UA was supposed to be a fresh beginning.
An hour.
It lasted one whole hour before it crumbled around him. The faint facade shattered right before him, and he couldn’t catch the pieces as they fell.
He was Midoriya Izuku! Soft-spoken, quiet, over-analyser of all things school and quirk related. He was a quick thinker, he didn’t falter under pressure or stress. He was given the name Izuku at birth. He had been Izuku since the day he was named.
But he wasn’t known as Midoriya Izuku. He was Midoriya Deku. Quirkless, useless, hero wannabe. His peers hated him and he was unwanted by the world. He would never get rid of the insult. He would always be overlooked, spoken over, looked past, and Deku.
But what happens when he meets new people? People who look past Deku and see him, see Izuku. What happens when they convince him to let himself go? What will ensue when he becomes true to himself for the first time in over a decade? What will he do with this newfound freedom?
