Summary
After hitting writer’s block with everything I was working on, I decided to set myself a random challenge just to get me back writing again. I love the song The Calamitous Case of Flight 763 on The Noise Next Door’s album Desperately Seeking Relevance, and in particular the line ‘Sue was dead’ cracks me up every time. So I decided to have a go at writing something about the characters Gus and Sue, which needed to end with that line from the song.
If you haven’t listened to the song - then you should! But that’s not the point I was going to make. This should still make sense as a story without hearing the song, but I do need to emphasise that it’s a comedy song, so please don’t go into reading this expecting a serious take on what would happen in the real world!
Also listen to the song. It’s great, and you’ll find out what happens to Gus next!
