Summary
Tianlang-jun’s eyes light up before they soften, wrinkling at the corners. Something in Su Xiyan’s chest tightens at that look being fixed on him, something he firmly ignores. Tianlang-jun plucks a small, plum-topped biscuit from a plate with one hand and props up his chin with the other, that look never fading as he takes in the sight of Su Xiyan to the fullest.
“Su Xiyan…” he repeats, smooth voice lowering to a murmur. He pops the plum cookie past his lips and hums, almost too quiet for Su Xiyan to hear, “such good fortune I’ve found, indeed…”

When Shen Yuan dies, he still transmigrates. However, instead of Shen Qingqiu, he finds himself in the body of a 9-year-old Su Xiyan. It changes many things, but somethings will never change -- it's years later, but still, he finds himself face-to-face with the charming grin of Tianlang-jun.

“You will forget all about Yue Qingyuan,” the cultivator declared, and twisted.
The world spun, warping around that one feeling of the stamp bending his mind, corrupting his thoughts, remaking him.

Shen Yuan was aware of how much overlap there was in webnovels between flashbacks of horrifying abuse showing a character’s terrible backstory, and training montages showing a character’s remarkable improvement under a stern teacher. The System agrees that Shen Qingqiu giving particularly harsh training exercises to Luo Binghe would both fulfill the plot requirements and not be out of character.
