Apparently, Arceus is real, and apparently Akari is the absolute perfect candidate for them to throw a century and a half back in time to 'seek out all Pokémon' and stop time breaking or something. Never mind that she's angry and bitter and has repressed any interest in Pokémon at this point; she's here now and it says something that she thinks that might be better. She may as well make the most of it.
She'd say 'God help us all', but she's pretty sure the asshole is watching and eating popcorn.

Or, Felix has a cool sword, Linhardt is interested, and things go from there to a war and beyond.

Things go awry, out in the depths of the universe, but Aether seems okay, right up until he doesn't anymore, and it's all very bad for Amber's peace of mind. Especially when he doesn't look like Aether anymore, and it seems like things might change irreperably.
