“Last year!” Eugene said, throwing his hands up into the air as if that would perfectly demonstrate his frustration (it did.)
“It's not like we were exactly close last year?” Pugsley cut in, and he knew it was a low blow with the way that guilt spread across Eugene's face. “I didnt know if I should have told you. I don't even want to be telling you now.”
“Why not?” Eugene said, rising from his own bed and coming to sit next to Pugsley
“'Cause you were still recovering from all of the shit with Tyler—”
Eugene let out a scoff of sorts
“It's true!” Pugsley said in his own defense, “I wasn't going to drop more shit onto you.”
Eugene sighed, resting his head on Pugsley's shoulder. He tried to ignore the way that it made his heart beat three times faster than it should have.

Summary
Zuko's trying to rebuild his nation but he cannot do it alone so he asks Sokka for help. Too bad that there are several people in his nation that don't seem to understand just how competent Sokka is. It's not a problem, though, Zuko will just have to set them straight.
Or, 5 times Zuko made it very clear to the Fire Nation just how highly he valued Sokka and 1 time Sokka returned the favour with the Water Tribe.

Summary
Ever since being designated as an alpha, Sokka has been taught that above all, an alpha is to ensure that the autonomy of an omega is never compromised. So when Sokka runs into Zuko in Ba Sing Se, and discovers that Zuko is an omega going through his first heat, it doesn't matter that they're enemies. Sokka couldn't live with himself if he didn't do everything he could to keep Zuko safe.
And as Sokka witnesses what going feral does to Zuko, Sokka realises that the biggest threat to Zuko just might be Zuko himself.
