“Are you a vampire?”
The man knelt beside Bucky and placed a hand to his forehead. Bucky shivered and closed his eyes. He saw Count Dracula striding toward him, relentless, ravenous. He blinked again and tried to focus on the man, but his face was shadowed in the faint winter light.
“If that’s what you want,” the man finally said.
When Bucky falls from the train, he believes a vampire saves him. Decades pass before he learns the truth, and when he does, he must decide what he truly wants and if he will allow himself to have it.
