“What’s this?” she asked.
Feyre untangled herself from their embrace and glanced behind, following Elain’s gaze. Elain took a closer look.
It was some sort of a plastic bag with fabric handles, the kind of bag you find in somewhere like IKEA but dark gray instead of blue, and it was packed with… clothing. From what Elain could see, the clothing most definitely didn’t look like something Feyre would wear, and it was quite… bigger. What was it, on top, a green hoodie? A jacket?
“Oh, it’s from Lucien. My friend who helped me uh, move here? I told him about the Alpha on the line and he said if I didn’t find anyone to help, I could have something of his at least for the scent in the—in the nest. He smells okay,” Feyre stammered out and then wrinkled her nose. “I honestly don’t think it’s a good idea to use any of his stuff—I don’t want to complicate our friendship—but I didn’t want to seem like a jerk, so I accepted, it was nice of him.”
Elain tried to look away from the bag, but for some reason could not.
