Summary
After being kidnapped by the Guy's in White for two years, Danny finally managed to break out. He vows not to use his ghost powers, let alone be Danny Phantom anymore. But then he finds a city with its own heroes, Star City, and manages to get roped into helping them. Will he find the courage to help fight off new ghosts that plague this city?

“I’m eighteen, if that’s what you’re worried about,” the kid continues, shifting slightly, and his voice is quiet and subdued and hoarse, and Steven’s knee bounces.
“That’s not,” Steven says, “That’s not why I came over here. Ah,” he licks his lips, unsure how to continue. The kid raises an eyebrow, expression very clearly reading then why the hell are you over here, and Steven clears his throat a bit. “Just,” he says. “To talk.”
Or: Marc happens to pass by a random homeless kid on the streets of New York. This, it turns out, is a mistake, because Steven- Steven, for some Khonshu-damned reason, grows attached.
(And Marc doesn't. He really, really doesn't. He swears.)

Sometimes, Jason wished he wasn’t as stubborn. Sometimes, he wished he would just give in. Sometimes, when it was dark enough outside that he didn’t have to look his own shame in the face as he thought it, he wished he would get hurt badly enough that something else would take over long enough for his feet to find their way to the Manor by themselves.
Sometimes, he wished that he would go right up to death’s door and wait there because he was pretty sure that Dick Grayson would come screaming to drag him away from it.
