It's unreasonable to be in love with him anyway. That's what he tells himself: they're opposites in everything they do. If Hokuto is winter, then Subaru must be summer, never coexisting; the same way that Venus never approaches Polaris. Hokuto is not meant to love someone like him, because Subaru deserves someone that uplifts his brightness.
