Prauf was silent, taking in her words. She only hoped they helped
“I would care if you died…” he finally spoke. “And I know Cal would too. I get that you’ve got some magic crystal ball dreams but, respectfully, you're wrong.”
“You don’t even know me.” she countered.
“And you don't know me. But that didn’t stop you from saving my life twice tonight. I don’t know what happened in your life to make you think that people don’t care about you. But I do know that you gotta give them the chance. You can’t keep running.”
