Yes, he knew, there is no escape from Kibutsuji Muzan. The last 500 years proved that, no matter where he went, man would find him, chase him and torment him with false memories. It has always been this way, from the time he was a simple little boy selling coal to support his family, to the time he became one of his creations.
It was high time to fight the demon lord's threat. An end had to be put to the era of pain and suffering created by Muzan.

The final battle.
It’s now or never.
The Demon slayers lost. Muzan won. Tanjirou’s body is taken over by Muzan and he kills every last Demon slayer in his path. Tanjirou dies, but have the gods been nice to him this time? He can’t tell. But Tanjirou won’t stop fighting. Not until Muzan is killed. He WILL win this time. Or he’ll die trying. Again and again and again. He’ll do it, and he’ll make sure everyone lives. He’s not letting his friends, who he now finds family, die again.

When the pair reached the destination, the huffing and panting Zenitsu, glad that they were surrounded by Wisterias, quickly tried to inform the Hashiras about the predicament they were in, only to be interrupted by gasps and the drawings of swords.
He turned his head around slowly, only to be greeted with two normal looking humans.
Zenitsu fainted.

Summary
Rengoku came back from a mission to find out Ubuyashiki had arranged a reward for all of the Hashira's hard work. At the meeting none of them seemed to keen on this, claiming it was their duty, that they didn't need any kind of "reward".

Summary
Lucerys’ petty side relished in bringing Aemond a semblance of the anguish he felt these last few months. That was, if he cared to face Lucerys over the consequences of their actions. Lucerys wanted to see the panic set in after Aemond saw the result of their union. For Aemond to regret having discarded him after their one night together.
At the end of all this drama, Lucerys would have his heirs for Driftmark. Talk of his own bastardy would cease on account of his beloved boys. The boys' appearance proved Lucerys was legitimate after all. Once Lucerys died, there would be an actual Velaryon ruling Driftmark.
He wouldn’t know if this plan would come to fruition until he started informing his family of his sons.
