Jason's laughter has turned into breathless, silent cries. Damian barrels on, seemingly unbothered by his state.
"-And during all this I'm trying to subtly switch back to using people's actual names; except it fucking backfired because people just assumed I was calling Richard 'Richard' because we had that special parental mentor bond, and Tim had pissed off to- whatever he was doing in the desert for six months- getting a hysterectomy or whatever the fuck happened-"
"Hysterectomy-" Jason repeats, shrill. "He lost a spleen, Dames."

Summary
Jason swallowed. “She’s everything the world has killed in me.”
“Well,” Leslie hesitated, voice kind, if rough, “they do say we become who would have saved us when we were younger.”Jason Todd never allowed himself to be soft. Not in Crime Alley, not with Batman, not after the pit.
Then one night he finds a newborn abandoned behind a dumpster and it’s both the easiest and hardest choice of his life – because he knows how this story ends. A child left alone in the dark. A body in a cold alley. A city that doesn’t care.
As Gotham’s latest rumors take a terrifying turn and the past comes clawing at his heels, Jason isn’t looking to be a hero. He just refuses to let history repeat itself. You don't need to read the rest of the "Hatchlings of Gotham" series (dedicated to the Batkids' kids) to read this one.
Now with a short sequel.

Written for "WWT: WingFic II"
One late night on his patrol as Batman, Bruce Wayne happens upon a tiny, injured songbird abandoned in an alleyway. A robin. It feels like forever since his own Robin has been gone, yet he knows it's scarcely been two weeks. He's not sure why he nurses the songbird back to health, but he does so anyway. It makes him feel a little more at peace.

Summary
“You can only be worth something if you’re useful. People forgive you if you help enough. But if you stop being useful—what’s left?”
Jason shut the book like it might shatter. His heart slammed against his ribs.
For years—years—he’d thought Tim Drake had slid into his role with ease. The perfect little replacement, the better Robin, the golden boy who stole his family and wore it like armor. Jason had hated him for it. Resented him. Told himself Tim had never struggled the way he had.
OR:
Each BatFam member connecting with Tim, learning WHY he is the way he is. Steph/Cass, Jason, Damian, Dick, Duke, and Bruce, with introspection from Alfred

Summary
The first time it happens, Bruce doesn’t do a great job at hiding his surprise. It was only a couple weeks after Tim’s adoption was officially finalized - hyphenated name and all. Bruce still smiles to himself at the memory of reading ‘Timothy Jackson Drake-Wayne’ on those papers, trying not to choke up at his third son being the first to take the Wayne name. Of course that was never an expectation, but still, it meant something that Tim chose to take it.
With that considered, perhaps Bruce shouldn’t have been quite so shocked by the teen calling him ‘Dad’, but he is. And he’s even more startled to hear it declared loudly as Tim abruptly sprints towards him down the hall at full speed.
“Dad Test!”
Or
Tim starts a trend in the family of jumping at Bruce at random, increasingly difficult times shouting: 'Dad Test!' to see if he'll catch them. This leads to many shenanigans & then crash lands into angst because of course it does.
