Summary
Mydei had once read about Phagousa's titankin in an old tome. Sea sirens, the tales called them, bewitching creatures that compelled sailors to dash their warships to pieces. When he was younger, much more naive and wounded, he sometimes imagined that it was a siren that tricked Eurypon into throwing him off that cliff.
But right now, listening to the noises that stream from Phainon's kiss-bitten lips, Mydei feels as though he has one of those fabled sirens in his lap driving him closer and closer towards utter hedonistic madness.

Summary
Mydei’s heart thunders in his chest as he frames Phainon’s face and pulls him closer. There’s no resistance, no fight. Phainon leans into his hold like it’s familiar, like it’s something they’ve done a thousand times before.
And maybe in a past life, they have.
Because Mydei has no explanation for why Phainon’s lips remind him of the sanguine honeybrew of Castrum Kremnos. Or why his fingers, trailing down the lines of Phainon’s body, remember the shape of him, strong and firm. Mydei has no explanation for why he knows just how to lick into Phainon’s mouth to coax out those desperate, broken sounds he’s only ever heard in the darkest corners of his fantasies.
The end draws near. Mydei and Phainon find each other anyway.
