Summary
Danny ends up in Gotham while on the run from his family and the GIW. He's on his own. Until a chance encounter where the Joker ends up dead and he ends up with a family.
TLDR: Danny punches the Joker into traffic accidentally killing him and ends up part of the Batfamily as a result

Summary
Space is so much different than land. It's even different compared to being underwater. But the people? Oh, the people are still the same, always the same. The same greedy people, who want to see others suffer for their own gain. Scott knew these people existed back home, but Aeor he had hope for other places. Peter had known for a long time that there were so many - too many - greedy people in space, but that you could find the hope in the few good people you collect and hold close to your chest. Their outlooks are as different as night and day, but perhaps they're each correct in their own way.

Scott and some Rivendellian Elves are kidnapped into space slavery by a previously unknown (read: I made them up) species. Peter Quill and the Guardians happen to be in the right place to rescue them.
